My Beauty Secret- Apple Cider Vinegar
I'm a huge fan of home remedies and wanted to share one that has worked wonders for me! You are not going to need to roll out the AMEX for this one.
It all started because I'm getting married in four months, so my skincare routine has been stepped up. I had a few facial moles that had grown in size and I absolutely hated them in pictures. They always looked like blemishes due to makeup coverage. So I began to research ways to remove them at home. (Note: I had seen a dermatologist on a few occasions to ensure they weren't cancerous. Do not remove a mole on your own that could potentially be cancerous because you are removing the evidence of mole changes, which can alert you to a possible problem) I ended up finding several user sites suggesting the use of ACV or Apple Cider Vinegar for mole removal. Next, I'll tell you the process.
You will need: ACV (organic preferred) You can find this at any grocery store
First, I cleaned the tweezers with alcohol. I used them to scrape away the surface of the mole. You just need to scrape around the full surface of the mole, so the ACV can sink into it. Next, I pulled off a tiny piece of the cotton ball and rolled it to the approximate size of the mole. Then, I dipped the cotton piece into the ACV and squeezed out the excess liquid. Next up, I put the cotton with ACV on the mole and taped it up with the medical tape. I left it for about 30 minutes and checked it. The cotton was dry, so I did the process again. I did this about three times, until I noticed the spot flatter and darkening, like a scab was going to form. At that point, I stopped the process to see the results. ACV contains acidity, so I was cautious to not burn my skin.
In the next few days, a scab formed and dried out. Eventually it fell off on it's own and I was left with very light pink skin underneath. I used A&D ointment regularly for about a week to promote healing and reduce the scar. I was amazed at the results! I had removed two facial moles and the results were amazing.
I was so impressed with ACV, I started to wonder how else I could incorporate it in my beauty routine. I began researching online once again and found several sites suggesting using it as facial toner or mixing it for a face wash. I even read that Scarlett Johansson uses it as a facial toner. I don't know how true this is, but I decided it was a go! Several of the sites suggested diluting the ACV with water, but I decided to just use it in place of my toner a few days a weeks. Once again, my results were fantastic. My unsightly broken capillaries began to vanish, I noticed a tremendous improvement in my adult acne and my fine lines on my face suddenly seemed tightened! I am in AWE of ACV! I paid less than $5 and have used 1/8th of my bottle with amazing results!
I am not a medical professional, i'm an online boutique owner. I cannot share the safety of using ACV for these purposes. However, I can share my personal results. Who is running out to get some ACV today? :)
